- The Dance Team is hosting a 4th and 5th grade fall dance on November 14th from 6-7:30 in the cafeteria. This is open to all WMS 4th and 5th graders. $5 admission, $2 glow sticks, $1 chips, and FREE soda! Come in your wackiest Warrior gear and join us in a night of fun!
- Anyone interested in designing this year's yearbook cover should see Mrs. Lauderdale in room 115 for the rules and paper. This is a schoolwide (4th-8th) competition. The winning cover art will be the cover of our yearbook!! All cover art is due December 4th.
- Merry Dairy Holiday Card Contest! Students may enter in the 14th Annual Merry Dairy Holiday Card Contest and their artwork could be featured on SLDDC’s 20245 holiday card! One Grand Prize winner will be selected from each of the following grade-level categories: 3rd - 5th grade and 6th - 8th grade. The 3 Grand Prize winners will receive a premium gift basket and a gift card for their teachers. Plus, we will award one runner-up in each of the grade-level categories with a gift basket. Again, this year – a “people’s choice” will be awarded in each of the 3 categories via on-line voting. Teachers will be notified when it’s time to vote. Official Contest Rules: Open to all MO and IL students in grades PreK-8. Entries should be submitted on 11” W x 8.5” H paper (landscape orientation). Student name and grade, school name and phone number, and teacher name and e-mail for prize notification must be written on the back of each entry. Entries must be turned into Mrs. Emig by Friday, November 14th. Winners will be notified in early December.
- Calling all scholars, mathematicians, and owners of random facts! It's that time of year! Scholar Bowl is back!! If you are a 6-8th grader and are interested in being a part of the WMS Scholar Bowl team, there is a sign up sheet in the office. Please sign up by Friday! More details to follow based on the numbers who sign up! See Mrs. Schlimme with any questions! Definitely in need of historians and math wiz peeps as well as literature lovers!
- All 4-8 students, the student morale committee will be handing out capri-suns during lunch on Friday (11/7) for a job well done completing first quarter.
