Paving The Way

Brad Burcham’s Build and Trading Class have made concrete blocks with Wesclin’s
Mascot on it. Mr. Burcham decided to make the blocks so the students could learn how to use
concrete while producing a product that could be used by the district. When they finish making
the concrete blocks, they are going to be used as a walkway to the horticulture greenhouse.
Senior Brennan McVey said, “It was very hard to make the concrete blocks and make them look
nice.” These blocks are 16 by 16 and made with quality concrete. Senior Cameron Cathcart said,
“It was a fun experience yet, hard work.” The students enjoyed making these blocks during class.
